NORTHERN EUROPE
This one-month scholarship program is intended to promote international connections throughout Northern Europe. It incorporates the provision of special funding for authors, visual artists and composers from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Artists from Germany have the opportunity to complete a one-month residency free of charge at one of the Künstlerhaus Lukas’ partner institutions:

►NES Artist Residency Skagaströnd, Iceland
►Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators Visby/Gotland, Sweden

In exchange, the program allows artists from the countries of our partnering institutions to enjoy a month-long residency at the Künstlerhaus Lukas free of charge. We have a total of 20 places for this each year. In addition to this, artists from the countries bordering the Baltic Sea, Iceland, Norway, the UK and Ireland can send their applications directly to the Künstlerhaus Lukas.

The scholarships are usually endowed with 1000 euros, including travel expenses. Scholarship funding is provided by the respective countries. If the artist's own country is not able to provide funding, the artist will receive up to 300 euros compensation for their travel expenses. The residency at the Künstlerhaus Lukas is free of charge.
