Partners in Northern Europe

With the resumption of its activities since January 2006, Künstlerhaus Lukas offers a wide variety of international opportunities for encounters and cooperation. Since 1994, up to fifty artists from Germany and increasingly from the Baltic Sea countries have come to Ahrenshoop for working stays. Since 2006, international cultural cooperation has been strengthened with a focus on Northern Europe. Artists from Germany are given the opportunity to spend time in selected partner countries; in return, numerous scholarship holders from these countries come to Ahrenshoop. The exhibition programme of the Künstlerhaus Lukas in close cooperation with the Neue Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop is designed in this Northern European context.

Currently there are ongoing cooperations with the following partner institutions in countries bordering the Baltic Sea:

►National Centre for Contemporary Arts Kaliningrad, Russian Federation
►NES Artist Residency Skagaströnd, Iceland
►Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators Visby/Gotland, Sweden
►KKV Graphicworkshop & KKV Sculptureworkshop Monumental Malmö, Sweden
►Hollufgård Artist Residence - Skulpturpark Odense, Denmark
