Partners in Germany

Since the opening of the Künstlerhaus Lukas as a working place for artists in 1994, there have been numerous collaborations with cultural institutions in Ahrenshoop, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and selected places in Germany. Since 1998 there has been a close cooperation in thematic exhibitions of the Künstlerhaus Lukas and the Neues Kunsthaus, especially in the relationship between literature and visual arts, which have been shown at numerous locations such as the Mönchehaus Museum Goslar or the Klingspormuseum Offenbach in addition to locations in Northern Europe.

With regards to scholarship support, there's been a long-standing cooperation with institutions in Germany, for example with the Senate Department for Culture in Berlin, the ZEIT Foundation Gerd and Ebelin Bucerius in Hamburg, or the AOK Nordost. Currently there are cooperations with the Kunststiftung Sachsen.Anhalt, the Filmkunstfest Schwerin or the Finnlandinstitut Berlin.

With this programme Künstlerhaus Lukas serves the encounter and the exchange of artists of different disciplines and nationalities with each other as well as with an interested audience. The guests from Northern Europe that are part of the exchange programme of the Künstlerhaus Lukas are deliberately included in these cooperations.
