MENSCH?
Exhibition at Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop |
|
|
The exhibition "MENSCH?" at Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop ventures into artistic self-determination with current positions in painting, drawing, photography and installation with radio play.
The question of WHO we are has an underestimated significance, although as human beings we are confronted in life with the requirement to understand ourselves. It is through our answer to the question of who we are that we self-critically position ourselves in the world and determine what is meaningful to us.

Hieronymus Proske (DE) - painting
Catharina Szonn (DE) - installation with radio play
Xianwei Zhu (DE/CHN) - painting/drawing
The exhibition is curated by Olivia Franke.

AHRENSLAB - a
growing exhibition
Exhibition at Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop |
|
|
The exhibition in the Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop and in public space aims to enable local visitors to understand growth and the critique of growth in words and images and with reference to regional conditions. Selected examples of visual art will be used to offer food for thought and to confront artistic work with the standard images of science and technology. What pictorial forms and what materials has contemporary art developed for wax and usury, and what forms of regenerative balance and sustainability in post-growth dynamics?
Curated by Dr. Asmus Trautsch
